You — in principle — are capable of directing and perceiving the true reality of who you are.
You have an inner witness with a clear perception of your infinity, and who can also manage your finite existence.
You have an essence that directs all your spiritual finite experiences, the ability to discern what is real and what is not, and the equanimity and ability to subtly understand your purpose and meaning. In principle, you lack nothing to be able to know yourself, to guide yourself and to expand yourself.
However, the force of gravity within the conditioned mind is very powerful. Out of habit, generation after generation, a way of perception has been reinforced that limits us and binds us to our physicality, to our experiences and to our innate tendencies.
The spiritual teacher is that individual that has purified himself or herself from all social conditioning and who has understood the true nature of the Self. In other words, the spiritual teacher has a presence that is transparent, authentic and able to reflect who, where and how you are. The spiritual teacher relies on this powerful emanation to correct, align and nourish yours. The simple presence of the spiritual teacher is enough to heal, to understand and to perceive reality. However, the mind of the seeker may need or wish for extra support along the way. In this case, the spiritual teacher may speak and express different styles of spiritual teachings.
In the expressions of the spiritual teachings, the teacher may be seen as a counsellor, an adviser, a friend or as a threat. What the seeker needs to realize is that the spiritual teacher is ultimately there to correct your perception of reality, and that you are there because you wish to correct or complete your perception of yourself and reality. The teacher must destroy your limitations and inspire you to expand, to see, and to stop any games, self-definition or clumsy acts.
The spiritual teacher will always request more from you. They are there to challenge you, to encourage you and to point to the truth.
Please do not confuse a spiritual teacher with other types of teachers or healers. They may be in your life at the beginning of your journey; however, as you go deeper into the frequency of the realized spiritual teacher, you don’t need any other resources to realize the Truth.
Now, the spiritual teacher is not a crystal bowl; do not use them as a divination tool! The spiritual teacher is not superior to you; they simply have a larger perception of reality. Your spiritual teacher is not your parent; they are not here to punish you or to evaluate your ‘performance’. In fact, the spiritual teacher gives you full room for you to express your life in whatever way you wish.
Through the sincerity of the seeker, and through proximity to the spiritual teacher, an irresistible nectar is produced, allowing a commitment over time and space to the most sacred relationship that can be experienced on Earth.
