The chariot of charity

What is your reaction to charity?

One of the most striking phases for me in the Christian teachings is the one in which Jesus asked one of his disciples: “Abandon your fishing career and come with me”. Literally or not, the invitation can shake our little world.

The Chamber of Service is the place where we are invited to abandon our little world and give energy to an extended part of ourselves.

Service is the end of your pride, your limitations and your sense of self.

When we resist charity and service we must remember the moment when eons ago our DNA suffered certain modifications to make humans a race that serves the interest of false gods.

Humans were trained to forget their own “goodness” or “awareness” that they are co-creators of the whole. The corruption of our DNA places us in a false servitude where we sooner or later find out that we were cheated, misled and exploited. Humans have felt the pain of betrayal, mistrust and confusion.

Rebuilding our sense of service will place us and humanity in a completely different place of cooperation, contact and exchange of information. The true service allows the human community to vibrate in an openness of exchange, in a place where our potentials are truly displayed with no hidden agendas.

Service is the foundation of our connectability with each other and the basis of our strength and wealth. At an individual basis service unlocks happiness, humbleness and compassion. At the collective level, service brings support, a sense of belonging, strength, community and celebration.

Service is not just about helping another in need. Service is the disposition of your heart to show up with all that you have and where it is needed.

Service is the best medicine to forget your own ego constructions. It will help you forget the little dramas, the little world and will encourage you to look at your extended self with much care, compassion and presence.

Service is a place of softness and compassion. It is a space that is moved by the misfortune of others. It arises: when you are vibrating beyond yourself, when the pain of others becomes yours and you have an impulse beyond logic to help. When we experience this selfless experience we are able to sacrifice any personal interest and we then locate our self into the Chamber of Charity.

Your desire to do good deeds, to serve with no personal gains, and to partner with people with the same frame of mind is a sign that you are in the Chamber of Service.

You and earth are constantly receiving help from other beings who have perhaps sacrificed their frequency to come to earth in different manifestations with the interest to move us out of pain.

This chamber arises naturally when there are no hidden agendas. We see this tendency in children. They want to help, be useful and to have a purpose. It is sad to see that our demands and concepts of how children should be, exploit and diminish their natural tendency to have sympathy for others.

Many spiritual teachers underline the concept of self-less service. As a seeker you must contemplate this. It is not to make you “good”, “spiritual” or contribute to “their” cause. It is really an education that helps you to let go of your little self and expand your energy fields through compassion.

When you are established in the well-being of others it is very easy to let go of the “concept” of yourself. There is a time in the path of the seeker, where the dissolution of personal identity is very disturbing for the little mind. However, if you are already having an impersonal action in place, the transition to the “non-self” is simple and easy.

The desire to do charity needs to be cultivated in small or bigger ways. The feeling of not knowing where and how to help is really a resistance. Choose something that is away from your world and make some actions.

Charity purifies you and helps you to exercise detachment, compassion and care for all living things.

Charity compensates for your unaware actions. Give freely, constantly and mindfully. The Chamber of Service is like a bank account in the karmic heart. It is a place where all your good deeds are accumulated, sorted out and put into the action of service.

Service is any act that you do in which you don’t have any self-interest. There is no interest to be good, to impress, or to see good results coming out of your actions. A sincere smile is more valid than a false sacrifice to help others.

By following the impulse of sharing what you are and what you have, you gain happiness, love and compassion. The desire for charity is the foundation to true happiness, true creativity and to establish the natural self. By forgetting yourself, you gain the perception of the bigger self or boundless self.

All that is given with no self-interest, with genuine care and in a very simple way is returned to you. This is the law of the karmic heart.

Once you attain Love you naturally want to share it. The beginning of the heart is love and the end is love.
