Booking an ayurvedic assessment

What is an ayurvedic assessment ?

An ayurvedic assessment is a comprehensive exam that aims to discover  the cause of what ails you.

An ayurvedic diagnosis is based on the  combination of a comprehensive and detailed personal history questionnaire, your pulse, your tongue, and physical exam. This will help reveal the underlying factors in the disease process.  The practitioners diagnose  the fundamental imbalance that may be responsible for your symptoms. Therapies may include (but are not limited to), body work and treatments, medicinal herbs, diet, exercise, lifestyle changes, and stress reduction and prevention.

What is an Ayurvedic practitioner?

An ayurvedic practitioner is an individual who is trained to conduct ayurvedic assessments and make recommendations based on the science of Ayurveda. The practitioner determines your “prakuti”, also called your constitution or essential nature. From there, the practitioner can create an individualized treatment plan, which often includes diet, exercise, herbs, yoga, meditation, and massage. The  plan generally focuses on restoring balance to one particular dosha.
